I have a system 4 and although I don't dislike it, I agree with you that it doesn't come close enough and the teeth on the the side adjustment for the clamp I think slips alot. The one thing I love about it is the ability to swivel from front and back of frame for weaving threads. I know that you have to adjust the Kay frame to do this. Do you find you miss this feature of your system 4? I had an attachment for my System 4 and it slide right in and the same for the K's stand. I could not position the stand so that my arm would not bothersome when I stitched. I had no problem with the System 4 before I had a problem with my shoulder.
I find that K's stand is working for me that does not mean that it would be right for you. A stand is a personal item and you have to find the perfect fit for you. The thing I like about the K's stand is that you can lengthen or shorten the arm to adjust to you. I have not had any neck or shoulder pain since using the K's stand. It works for me right now.
Someday I might go back to the System 4 but right now I am very happy with the K's
LindaDenise & Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15785175508511162175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4988086536026174989.post-44009920863690637262011-06-27T10:01:23.717-04:002011-06-27T10:01:23.717-04:00Hi, Linda - Love your snazzy belt! We'll have to compare notes when mine arrives. So happy to hear that you and Denise enjoyed the class with SharonG!Melindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01382209172583398305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4988086536026174989.post-4209755695893082672011-06-26T22:12:48.147-04:002011-06-26T22:12:48.147-04:00I am also anxious to hear how your system4 affecte...I am also anxious to hear how your system4 affected your shoulder. I use one all the time. I had rotator cuff surgery in Dec 09 and couldn't wait to get back to stitching. I do find I often have to support my left arm or my shoulder gets achy. Good luck with your surgery. I've just sold my old stand with an eye to buying a System 4 precisely because I, too, have suffered from endless rotator cuff problems and it seemed that the System 4 would help. If you wouldn't mind, could you elaborate on your reasons for switching to the K's? Many many thanks. RobinG in IndianaRobinGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16999640117756037930noreply@blogger.com
