FABULOUS DAY

Today was just a great day. I took a canvas embellishment class from Tony Minieri at Stitch by Stitch in Larchmont. Tony wrote a great stitch guide for my chicken canvas. I was a happy girl all day watching it come to life

A close up

A look at the whole canvas.

Denise made my day even more special with the wonderful gifts she got me from Italy. I absolutely love them. The best presents ever.

The "snap" tray is from Florence. It is pink patent leather. I just LOVE it. The wooden "laying tool"is from Ponza. Love the shell on top. It is really a stick for your hair but it makes the perfect laying tool.

Wonderful day with friends, stitching and gifts.

The chicken canvas is adorable. What a good friend you have in Denise. Did you get your second kit from Amy's for the house. Lots and lots of shingles on those eaves. I stitched for three hours last night and got 16 roof shingles done. You think I would have finished the whole thing with that much time!

Hi Steph,

Yes, I have an absolutely wonderful friend in Denise. Just love the leather tray, and the laying tool lays the threads so smooth.
I am still trying to finish the shingles on half of the roof.
Have the walls on bars ready to go.
Will try to post a picture of my progress on huge roof.

Please do. I am up to 67 shingles out of the 242 total. I have not done any of the green. I pledge to catch up by the time the next kit comes out. UH-OH! Hope I can do that!
