Preparing Canvases

Today I decided to prepare the canvases for the Thanksgiving House Home Study. The first lesson should be arriving this week. I decided to sew seam binding on the canvases rather then tape them. It took me awhile to figure out how to thread the sewing machine. I have not used it for a very long time. Once I finally got it running putting the seam binding on the canvases was very easy. As you can see, I used seam binding to match the green in the canvases. I also sewed taped on the canvases for my birthday celebration in July.
The sewing machine is now away until next time I put seam binding tape on a canvas.
On Friday, Karen and I will be traveling down to Baltimore for a well deserved needlepoint adventure. On Saturday, we will see what new needlepoint shops there are and on Sunday we will take a canvas embellishment class with Julia Snyder at Bedecked and Beadazzled to help celebrate its anniversary. Looking forward to seeing Ruth and all the wonderful things she has to tempt me with.
I am still working on Jake's cars just have some beading and tires to do.

I know you are excited to start the Thanksgiving house. I have loved seeing on Facebook all the stitches and threads that Amy has planned for you. Hope you and Karen have fun at Ruth's.

We need to start a support group for the house. Maybe on Facebook. I could not bring my house home as my suitcase was overflowing. I did get to bring hom e the thread packet and the guide. Oh, wow. Can't wait for my canvases and evertites to arrive. Glad you are ready!

Hi Steph,
I agree with you. We will need to support each other and keep ourselves motivated to keep going. Hope the box arrives before I leave for Bedecked and Beadazzled. Will be on the look out for skull beads for everyone.
