Jake's First Day Home

I would like to thank everyone for all their well wishes for my grandbaby. Jake is a bundle of joy. I cannot get enough of him. So far he has been very good but tonight at home will be the real test. He weighed in at 7 pounds 15 ounces and is 20 1/2 inches. He is Nana's Little Man.
Here are some pictures of his room. Jennifer make all his bedding and we coordinated everything to match it. Jen did the room in green and cream. The room is very relaxing and hopefully Jake will feel relaxed in it.
Have not gotten much stitching done. Have Stirha's hat and cape done. Hope to work on her tonight.

What a sweet bundle of joy he is!!
The room looks so soothing and relaxing. Brought back many wonderful memories when my granddaughter was born...almost 11 years ago. She was born in the hopital that I worked as a Nurse so I gave her the first bath..That is such a cherished memory and now she and I talk about it as we stitch together...yes, she loves to needlepoint. Hooray!!!

I am very happy for you, Linda. His bedroom is lovely. You guys made a great nest for him to grow in!

Wow! How handsome he is.

"Hello, Jake. This is Robin ... in Memphis, TN. Glad to meet you. I will enjoy seeing you grow up. Here's some things you can count on: a Needlepoint Stocking with your name. Your mommy is wonderfully creative... she gets her talents from her mommy (Nana) & Nana's stitching sister, Aunt Denise. As you grow up, we will read your blog, too. Hugs from Memphis."

My DIL used the exact same colors for her nursery, and it is very similar to Jen's. I love the classic look, and after a year, still love it. It is sooo soothing and pretty, and so classic. I love the fabric on Jen's glider.

What a precious gift Jake is. I just returned from a vacation with our Tripp (15 mo) and have to tell you, I savor those precious moments!! at the beginning, he wouldn't sit in my lap, and by the end he was reaching from his mother's arms for me to hold him. there is something about grandmothers that these precious bundles need. Enjoy every moment!!!

I can't wait to hear about your class with tony! I am signed up for a class in Austin in August. I will be stitching the TT nutcracker stocking, and am looking forward to seeing what he does with it.

take care,
Kathy
